One Year is a concept album that tells the story of a man struggling with suicidal thoughts, who gives himself one year to find a reason to live. Through a series of candid and emotional poems, the album offers a raw, relatable portrayal of mental health struggles, aiming to encourage listeners to speak up, seek help, and connect with others facing similar battles.

Brandon XIV is a Canadian poet and filmmaker who uses his unique blend of raw performance and deeply introspective writing to deliver immersive, impactful stories. His work blends audio & visual storytelling with an exploration of the human condition, pushing boundaries and challenging audiences to reflect on their own experiences.
LaChanze is a 4 time Tony Award winning actress, producer, and singer. She is known for her Tony-winning role of Celie in Broadway’s The Color Purple, and for her voice work in the animated film Hercules.
